have you considered that your experience can never exactly mirror anyone else’s? It’s actually impossible for two situations to be exactly the same. I understand your fears, but taking away your opportunity for children because you had a couple rough times is pretty brutal. Children aren’t perfect. None of them are. No one has a perfect life, even fluent people. I don’t want children personally but it has nothing to do with my stutter. But from what I’m told, it’s a pretty fantastic thing to do if you want to do it. I would suggest you seek therapy to process your trauma. I genuinely think it might be useful for you.
