I say so as soon as it comes up. I'll start stuttering and then stop myself and say "Oh by the way I stutter". Now as a graduate student seeing clients weekly, I did disclose about my stutter right away. I only do that because my stutter is more apparent when I'm nervous or speaking to someone new.
