Are you learning English as a language or studying something in English? If you're learning the language I recommend letting the instructor know as soon as you can. I'm leaning French for work and it's hard and it sucks and I stutter a lot but language is not speech so I'm actually learning it. The instructor is super understanding and I'm allowed to pass if it's a rough day or she's giving me too much at once but I do have to pass the spoken requirement. I absolutely will pass in the same time as the rest of the class but it's taking a lot of honest communication. If you're learning in English and you're not comfortable talking I still suggest letting the instructor know. There are definitely accommodations that can be reached.
