Will there ever be a cure for stuttering?

Will there ever be a cure for stuttering? I was diagnosed with a speech disorder! and it has ruined my life, stuttering has impaired my ability to speak and socialize normally, everytime i try to socialize with my friends i always have pauses and blocks in my speech and it's embarrassing and makes me feel stupid, people talk shit about me behind my back! which is why i have social anxiety and it's why i try to avoid socializing as much as i can. and speech therapy is just useless! from what i know stuttering is caused by an imbalance of dopamine, speech therapy can't fix that so it's pointless going there! I feel so hopeless and depressed. why won't pharmacists just develop a medicine for stuttering? Is it really that hard to develop a treatment for it?
