On the opposite end, though, there is also an enormous problem (that is rarely discussed) of toxic positivity in the stuttering community. Whenever someone brings up a negative experience or problem they're facing in their life that seems insurmountable, one of the primary responses is often, "Why don't you just do everything like everyone else does anyway? Just love yourself more, bro. If you let it get you down, then why are you even here? Just act like you don't have the problem you have and it'll go away, because it does that for others, so why doesn't it just work like that for you?" When people open themselves up with a little bit of vulnerability to express their sorrows, frustrations, and struggles, shutting them down by telling them that their problem is invalid or could be trivially ignored *if they would just try* is *extremely problematic*. Please keep this in mind as well when rocking OP's vibe.
