Left brain vs right brain dominance has never been completely proven or disproven, although it was a common stuttering theory in the 1930s. Stuttering children were trained to be right handed during the period that this theory prevailed. The result? Fewer stuttering left handed children and more stuttering right handed children! Current science shows that there are structural brain differences - including hemispheric differences - between fluent and stuttering adults. But hemispheric dominance is too great of simplification of this complex matter. I like OP's observation as I can attest to this too. I observe that creativity and vivid thinking come significantly easier to me than to my fluent colleagues.
