My stutter is more of a block to where I can't get out any coherent sounds when trying to say something sometimes. The word I've always blocked on the most was 'negative' so in math class when we started to do things with negative numbers, it was a nightmare. I'd almost always have the right answer when called on but if it was a negative number, I wouldn't ever be able to say negative so I'd have to just say the number. They'd always be a wrong answer, making me look like I didn't know what I was doing, etc. What helped me is kinda just owning my stutter/block. I'd make a light joke about it before someone else does. I used to hate on myself for it but that doesn't do me any good. I feel like most people who stutter become shy and shut themselves off from the world which makes it worse. I think having confidence is the key to stuttering less and shutting yourself off from the world definitely makes your confidence tank. It won't be bad forever, hang in there.
