Looking for advice for the next step to improve myself (social anxiety, stuttering, etc) I'm in my late 20s, have a stutter, have social anxiety, and I'm suffering from lack of friends. I've been successful in my career and, as a result, I'm pretty confident at work and don't have too much trouble speaking at work. I do have trouble meeting people on a social level and as I've grown apart from my friends from my early 20s, I'm finding myself lacking for friends. What I need advice on is whether to tackle my stutter, social anxiety, both, or something else entirely. A few years ago, I asked this question to a stuttering group and a social anxiety group. Both groups gave me the advice to go the stuttering group's meet up. I went to three meetings over the course of a few months and had a pretty horrible experience. My stuttering in those meetings was the worst it had been in years and I left those meetings feeling like a broken person. This leaves me thinking that I should probably work more on the social anxiety and social skill issues that I have, but I wonder if I should do something different since I have a stutter. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks :)
