Honestly it’s been helpful. I also worked in customer service for 10 years prior. My dad was a “face your fears” kind of parenter. Seemed harsh at the time but I appreciate it now. In comparing the jobs, I find adults tend to do more mocking of the stutter than kids. Kids are curious. More likely to ask questions. Plus working in special needs means everyone knows that disabilities exist so I’ve found my tribe 😊
