Firstly, as someone who’s worked in care and also with those with dementia - my heart really goes out to you, it is a devastating condition that leaves everyone around the patient full of dread. You watch the person slowly die, while their body lives on, with the overwhelming sensation of hopelessness. It never leaves you. Respectfully however, dementia in fairness has its stages, and the state of those suffering with it can range from very mild, to mild, to severe. It is a complex spectrum of symptoms. I am not saying he necessarily does or doesn’t have it, just that the perception that it’s necessarily obvious, or black and white is inaccurate. There are people I’ve cared for whom you’d never be able to tell they have dementia, until you’ve gotten to know them for several weeks. I am really not here to start an argument or anything though, all love
