I meet new pws every week. They each have their own 'triggers' aka word fears. They develop them over time through fight and flight- blocking or avoiding. You may meet a 40 year-old who has been afraid of the name of his home town since childhood. There is an expression called the "3 Ps": punctuate + personalize= pervasive. Voluntary stuttering can help him change the seemingly helpless and automatic block when asked his home town. Keep eye contact and do a "one and done" repetition. This is kryptonite to stuttering because you eradicate fear and you train your speech muscles to relax in that important moment. good luck
