You are not alone. Here is a fact I just Googled: It has been estimated that about one percent of the adult population stutters. This would amount to almost three million people who stutter in the United States alone. Stuttering is about three or four times more common in males than females. So it sucks a bit more being a female stutterer, but that is just the way it is. Is your mom a good mom? You may be a bit young to best judge that yet, but if she is, then she may just may be under some stress and part of that is knowing the pain your fathers went through. She is feeling pain for you but misdirecting it. Those are issues you should pursue with your therapist. No need to address them here.
