Never want to speak again... So I'm only 14 years old and all I want to know is when will my stutter go away? I've had a stutter for around 4 years now and it's gotten worse day by day. I'm currently in grade 9 and for the whole of the first semester (6 months), I've only raised my hand once. Guess what, I stuttered. My science asked a question in which the answer was "Chlorine". When I raised my hand up, the words ended up sounding like "Klu-Klu-Klu Chlorine". Everyone in the class started laughing. Ever since then I've just stopped talking in classes. Obviously presentations are one of the hardest for me because you can always tell when you're going to stutter. My mother does not like me stuttering. Whenever I do she ends up hitting me. However my father, he's a lot more nice. He understands that it's hard to just "stop" stuttering. All I'm asking for is advice. I want to be able to speak in class, I want to be able to speak to friends, I want to be able to speak for myself. Thank you :)
