That's where you come in! Take this wonderful thing called social media that lets us communicate nonverbally and use it to tell people about your stutter! Tell people about groups like the National Stuttering Association, tell people about events like International Stuttering Awareness day (Oct 22nd, this year) and National Stuttering Awareness Week (May 6-12, this year). I've been doing it all my life and honestly it makes you feel great inside as well as spreading awareness for an issue as important to us at this. Tbh it's probably helped more for my stuttering than any amount of speech therapy has. People are ignorant about it because we don't talk about it, and we need to change that.
