I am a software architect. I have to lead calls with clients and ask questions that I may or not be prepared for. It can be trying at times, but if someone wants to stop listening due to my stuttering they can just not get what they are asking for as a client. My stuttering is not serve, but it does limit me in my confidence many times and it can be a lot harder to hold an audiences attention due to it. The more confident I am in what I am presenting, the less I will stutter. There are also a lot of words I cannot pronounce correctly no matter how hard I try. I try to avoid those words, just like the words that could cause me to stutter. However, I cannot always avoid them, and I am afraid of sounding "dumb." I will not let that stop me from moving in my career though. It took me years until I started to be more vocal in meetings. Once I started to, I quickly was promoted into better roles (was originally just a software engineer).
