I so agree with you!!! I couldn't have put it better. In my country, it's like hardly ever talked about, or if it is, it's either something that you "get over" or it's seen as something aberrant. I hope there's more documentation in positive ways. Medical discourses have always pathologized stuff like this and that adds to the stigma. No one is broken here. Something that I learned from one of my college courses is that there's no right way of being. Difference is the postmodern condition and difference doesn't necessarily mean it needs to be cured. Maybe stuttering is the way I speak. Why am I not valid because I say the same stuff as a non-PWS does, just maybe with prolongation here and there!
