There are some pleasant non-fiction books. I found Bill Bryson's "A Short History Of Nearly Everything" was really enjoyable. And there are fiction books with plenty of science, like "Project Hail Mary" (although it's still mostly science fiction) - it doesn't have many dialogs, but it is basically narrated in first person, it might work well for your purpose. I've started using audible lately, and the guy reading Project Hail Mary is \_really\_ good. If you are interested in emotion and tone, you could maybe try re-reading the book imitating him.
