Yeah, add to that when people just say "slow down", and when you finally get over your block they look at you like "wow he's stupid why doesn't he understand he just needs to slow down", while they didn't help anything and just waiting would be a lot less frustrating, it gives the impression they think stuttering is a choice or something. Also everyone who keeps on saying "have you ever heard of speech therapy, I heard it helps", even though they mean it friendly they don't seem to understand that it just doesn't work for everyone, I've been going to speech therapy for 4 years until giving up, and tbh I'm just sad that I am never going to get over it.
