I don't know how things work over in India. If this was in the West, I would certainly take this above the interviewer's head. This sort of intolerance is completely unacceptable. It is illegal in the United States. Social media is also a great way to strike back against companies that pull this sort of thing. But I would caution anybody that considers striking out via social media. It can be a double-edged sword. We've all seen people dig their own graves on social media.
