I’ve been taught to do so as well when I was younger. It’s a good technique but I prefer keeping a quick/natural flow because taking pauses to breathe in kinda messes that up. It’s definitely a lifesaving trick for people with extreme stuttering and it has helped me a lot in the past. It’s something I use when I’m in a ‘safe zone’ but in a public environment I’ll prefer to take the risk and cut corners ://
