How has stuttering affected your dating life? hey y'all! it's my first post here (19F), and i've really been thinking a lot about this lately since all my family members and friends are relentlessly asking me if i'm seeing/talking to someone. for a while i've just said that i don't have time for it bc of college (i'm a stem/health profession major, so it's partially true), but sometimes i straight up say that i'm afraid to. it's really hard meeting new people and going on dates for obvious reasons, but non-stutters just don't understand the anxiety that accompanies romance. for every excuse i give, someone answers with "oh you'll find someone out there who will love you for who you are!!". it's definitely true, i've known a few guys that have shown interest after hanging out in a group setting but those feelings of anxiety and low-self worth still get in the way ALOT. does anyone else deal with this or have some good tips to try and overcome this?
