presentation tomorrow (+ tip for presenting in front of people) last summer I held a presentation with my friend in chemistry. the day before I did something I never did before a presentation: rehearsing. a lot. like I read the presentation out loud to myself, with many linking words so it sounds good. then I wrote the informations on small papers, stood up & recorded my presentation. at the end I recorded myself several times. & guess what? IT WORKED. I was never that fluent in front of many people, standing there & talking about stuff I couldn't change when I couldn't say a word. chemistry is now one of my 2 majors in school. & we do presentations again (btw: I still have the same teacher). I'm not that nervous because I told him last school year that I stutter but I'm certain that he probably forgot lol. but the students in my class changed too. some are still there, but many new ones are there who never heard me presenting (well duh, chemistry last year was my first & only one) but I started to rehears again, I'm at the point of almost writing down the information (but I'm too lazy to get the paper sheets). going well so far, I'm not very nervous. way less nervous than usual. I know if we present tomorrow, that my group (consists of 2 people, including myself) will be the first one. intimidating but afterwards I will be so relieved that it's over. let's see if we really present tomorrow or we start Wednesday. to everyone who struggles with presentations: you got this. presentations are still my least fav, I almost cried in class when I heard that we have to do these again. I never considered rehearsing to be that important, but it really is. maybe you also didn't think about it that much. but, for me, it did A LOT. a lot more than I imagined
