I had a stutter when I was a child that went away through most of my life but worsened during the pandemic. With that. However now I feel it progressed into a full "block". My mouth will be open to try and say the words but the sensation is like choking. My neck muscles will tense and I won't be able to say a word. In that moment when you are being looked at as you try to speak. You'll notice that people think there is something wrong with you. Or that you are just weird. which, in turn, reinforces the block. If you really wish to know. At least for those on the psychological side of stuttering. Put yourself in an ungodly amount of stress. Combine that with that you are already stressed by how people will perceive you. The cruelest part of this is when you are alone...you can rehearse a speech fluently, but you can't seem to let out a single damn word in a drive thru...
