I know all stutterers speak more fluently alone, but do you also think more clearly alone? The words I do get out when im in conversation dont accurately represent myself. My thoughts are also impacted when in a conversation and I think my cognitive ability is impaired. When i'm alone I am a much better problem solver and think with a lot more creativity. It feels as if my brain works better all around when i'm alone. I don't know if its from the fact that we are forced to think about the speech mechanism when in conversation and as a result think less about the words we are actually saying and more about getting the words out, Do any of you have this struggle? Lately my stutter is impacting me tremendously and it is really getting frustrated. I am going to begin therapy again as I am going through a relapse.
