Applying for jobs Hi all. Sorry for the long rant. so I was recently made redundant so am looking for work. I have been in a customer facing role for over 25 years and never had a problem talking to people. Now it seems every position I am applying for, I make it to the final 2 and then they choose the other person. I cannot say 100% it's because I stutter, but I believe that it is the reason. Yesterday I applied for a position in a trainee role in real estate. No experience required etc. I got a reply straight away which a heap of questions, answered the email straight away. They replied again and said they were interested and can I attend an interview and if so what time. In the same email they asked "how do you rate your communication skills" I answered honestly and said I stutter but have worked as a manager in customer service etc so have no problem communicating. Since then it's all radio silence from them. I emailed them again today and asked when my interview was...more for my own amusement as I know they won't reply. Does anyone else experience this and how do you deal with this?
