Seeing/hearing other people stutter? High everyone, just discovered this sub and wanted your input in something that I’ve been wondering for a long time. How do you feel/react when you see/hear another person (real or cartoon) stutter? Real life, on tv or even in a game (cfr. Jimmy in Southpark)? Personally, (but only when it’s a really bad/prolonged stutter) I get so much anxiety I just want it to stop asap and ideally remove myself from the conversation. I guess it just reminds way to much of how I used to be and apparently I’m not yet in a emotional place where I’m at peace with it. Just to be completely clear: I don’t mind that it happens on tv or in a game. Some self-mockery is a healthy thing we should all embrace, but I would like some more representation in a positive way and not have it linked with stupid, unpopular, nerdy, … people most of the time.
