hate to be the one to bring this down but i have done that surgery(septoplasty) hoping for a magic bullet which never materialized but on the upside of things i am able to breath much better. honestly its hard to be a mouth breather and getting this surgery will definitely allow you to breath and talk, eat, etc without having to gasp for air. having a deviated septum means your mornings will start with a stuffy or runny nose and you are prone to sinus infections in comparison to a "normal" nose, i say this from personal experience. the surgery will require you to stay in bed for 2-3 days with your upper body elevated at a 45 degree angle to prevent swallowing of too much blood from your nasal passage ways, trust me you do not want to lay flat and rest because all of that blood will go into your stomach causing you to vomit which is not fun with a raw nose. i know this is not the answer you want to hear but hang in there because human development is a beautiful thing and you will be surprised to know how it turns out for you.
