Stuttering is more about knowing what you want to say and it doesn't come out as you'd like. After a while, your brain gets so busy coming up with work-arounds, that you get confused/overwhelmed and a series of filler phrases comes out. But at it's core, have not forgotten. And isn't it kinda insulting to suggest "yeah, you're weird" in response to your own different speech when asking people with "different speech" for help?
