When I first met my husband I stuttered so badly on my name, but just told him “I have a stutter, so that’s why I’m getting stuck” and he never batted an eye. In fact, he still recounts the story as one of the reasons he was so interested in me! He was attracted to the fact that I didn’t let it hold me back from meeting people and presenting myself confident. It’s only a big deal if you make it a big deal, which I get is a difficult mindset to come around to if your stutter is really severe. But the right people will listen! 💓 Present yourself confidently as often as you can (no one is perfect and 100% ok with themselves) and you will be surprised at that good people you attract!
