When I was very young. Most the adults in my family, including my mother, went to prison. My mom also had a stutter. It's been downhill from there. My speech just seems to get worse as I get older. There was one time I did a three week course in Norfolk Virginia that was very similar to the techniques from Mguire's book. But after returning to my normal life it went bad again very fast. I think I stutter because of a combination of genetics, and a shit storm of a life, that just compounds the stress endlessly. Maybe I should try calling random hotels, and "deep breathing," again.
