Correct! Singing and rapping utilize the right side of the brain, speaking is processed in the left. In stutterers, there is activity (when speaking) in the right side of the brain, when normally there shouldn’t be. There’s also new studies that show there may further be a difference neurologically amongst stutterers. So for example, while I stutter really badly, my brain chemistry/makeup may be different than another person who stutters’ brain makeup. Super interesting stuff coming out!
