A question. This isn't a question meant to make anyone sad or anything and I'm not doing research, I'm just genuinely curious; did any of you go through school without being bullied? Is it even possible? I was teased every day relentlessly, in high school (secondary school in Australia is from aged 13 to 17) but to a lesser extent in primary school. The reason I asked is a student at one of the schools I teach (I teach English at schools in Japan) wrote an essay on his stutter, he gets teased but not to the degree I did. Whenever I hear of a kid with one, I get all panicky fearing they'll go through what I go through and bullying in Japan is famously psychological. I kind of start reliving it and lose sleep etc. If I can get a sense that although I may be in the majority, not every kid has to go through what I went through, it may put my mind at ease, even if only a little.
