In my experience, I block more on my name, probably because I am nervous. If I have a big presentation or something, I will practice what I am going to say while “stretching” my words, to hopefully be more fluent. While most people who stutter don’t stutter when they sing, I don’t think it is practical to sing all the time. But, a speech therapist could teach you ways to ease into your words, and direct your airflow so you don’t block as much. This is close to singing.
