Did you forget your name?

Did you forget your name? If I hear this sentence one more god damn time(not a threat). I'm not sure if people are genuinely unaware of those who stutter, if they're just trying to make light of the stutter by joking, or if they're intentionally being insensitive. What's your take on which category these people would usually fall into. ​
