My first day at college (coming from a graduating high school class of 62 people) at my first class in “honors colloquium” some class you got into if you were smart. It was an auditorium full of people, and we had to go around telling people our name and birthday. I knew I was going to stutter if I said “march 30” so instead of stuttering I just said “I forgot” everyone looked at me super weird. I was so embarrassed! Now almost 10 years later, I am happy that I feel more comfortable stuttering. I know I will be embarrassed, but I’d rather be embarrassed than not express myself fully and not say what is on my mind
