Consider Paxil. 10 or 20md daily. It’s for social anxiety. And works like a charm for stuttering. An old school doc started me on it decades ago, I said but I’m not depressed. He said perhaps but you are nervous and worried and shy and scared…. Like a vicious cycle making your stutter worse. Always over thinking before you can even utter one word. Well he was right. I like it lowers the anxiety threshold and makes it a little easier to talk. Not a cure but a big help. Secondly, be resilient and goal oriented. My father told me the better you do in life the less you care about stuttering and it like of works itself out. My dad is also a stutterer -in fact was a SEVERE stutterer when he was young…I didn’t know – he just has an interesting slow cadence to his speech. Fast forward to me. I also had a Terrible stutter. Couldn’t make a call. Always missed opportunities. Failed classes bc I couldn’t do the presentations, etc etc. My stutter just kinda became very manageable the more confident I became. do everything in your power to make yourself happy and successful. I mean anything and everything. Start that business, work out everyday, get any job, go back to school if you need to, listen to yourself and do whatever is necessary to improve yourself inside and out without regard to what “makes sense” bc no one else understands the crushing pain and sadness stuttering brings. Reach out to your friends and cousins. I bet they miss you too. Get up, shower and groom, get dressed, stand tall, look people in their eyes and smile. Ppl are drawn to lovely confident and kind people. You’re 26, may 2026 be a miraculous your for you! Wishing you many blessings today and into 2026!
