YES! I'm a 26F now but I went to a support group for the first time when I was about 21 and I say regularly that it (and aptly timed speech therapy) changed my life! Having never met someone else who stuttered, I got on the bus home after my first support group and started crying, more like an emotional release from years of struggling alone. It was reassuring, inspiring and helpful to have a community of educated, successful and smart people who stutter around me, and I continued to go monthly for the rest of my time at school. Unfortunately I moved back to my smaller hometown after university and have lost that community. I do not have a support group in my area anymore and I do notice a difference in my speech so please stick with it, if you have the opportunity!! Thanks for sharing!
