I feel the same too! If someone was with me when I'm traveling in public transport or ordering food, I'd do those things without having to feel like a loser, and sometimes I even forget the route that I've taken a hundred times and I hate it when the driver tries to fool me by taking a longer route thinking I don't know my way around and the frustrating matter is that I know the route but when I get stressed due to anxiety and unable to get the words out because it's so hard on my body as it's so stressful, I feel lost when I step out. This is also affecting my confidence level. I wish I was able to speak fluently without my mind playing tricks on me. When people look at us they think we are ok and if we have a problem in saying a word or two they immediately begin to judge and that's the difficult part of having to deal with this.
