To the contrary, I recently told a friend of mine how I use my experience with a stutter to inspire my creative choices in filmmaking. He responded with actual shock, thinking that the stumbles in my speech were me having so many word choices come into my brain because of hyper intelligence, that he didn’t even think that it was a stutter. I was just as shocked as we’ve been friends for over a year. I’ve come to realize that I’m in my head more about my stutter than other people are in perceiving my stutter.
