I guess it depends on the person and the context but generally I don’t like it. If it’s cute then why do I receive way more criticisms about it than compliments? I do know that it comes from a place of genuine ignorance. The people calling it cute likely have never had a challenge with expressing themselves, it’s not even on their radar that having a stutter is frustrating. It comes from a lack of representation as well. Most people associate stuttering with being childlike, because children are generally less fluent than adults. Everyone “stuttered” when they first learned to speak, but we carry it with us throughout our lives.
