how do I deal with them kids?

how do I deal with them kids? being a female, people automatically assume that I am good with children. but i am honestly terrified of them lol. they say and ask the darnest things!!! there was this family get together that I went to and!! there was this kid I had to take care of. obviously i had to talk. and man! after he heard me stutter he spent the entire day going around the place imitating me by stuttering. my family was so embarrassed. ngl I cried that day after I got home what should I do in such situations?
