I went out with multiple crews managing them across the country on emergency work. I do sales otherwise but show them the work I pick up and am their manager in essence also. I'm like one of the guys, just smile, joke around, show them what they need to do. Speak to the costumer and pick up more work a lot too and show them that. They gain respect and are happy I'm able to pick up work for them. I used to work with them too and work really hard and got really good at it but most of them are new so I didn't work with all of them. Some remember me though. I think sincerity goes a long way and honesty so they don't assume the worst. If they work where it is up beat and a happy place to come to, everything else is peanuts.
