Thanks for the reply, I get what you mean. I also get facial ticks, or I open my mouth and nothing comes out of it… it can look disturbing and I’m very scared of people seeing me like this and of what they might think of me. Though I didn’t mean developmental disorders here. I was referring to communication anxiety/trauma from stuttering (not the act of stuttering itself) that results in communication avoidance, severe eye contact avoidance, not understanding how to connect even if you speak well or when no speech is required, overanalyzing communication, being worried about what people meant or if what you communicated was correct. These are the struggles associated with autism spectrum, but I kinda feel complex trauma could cause similar issues that are not rooted in autism. I wonder if someone else from stutterers feels like this.
