People saying words for you

People saying words for you This is defiantly controversial and goes against what I've thought for years, but recently I've been so relieved/ more comfortable if the person I'm talking to just says the word for me when I'm badly blocking. Like I'd much rather be able to get to the next point in a flowing conversation and laugh a little about how I couldn't say the word, rather than sitting for like 60 seconds in silence while I try to say something we both know, just for the sake of saying it. It feels almost traitor-ish against the general stutter consensus to say but sometimes I find that the classic advice for non stutterers (maintain eye contact and give them all the time they need to say the word) makes conversations more stressful and awkward. Super curious to hear if anyone else agrees?
