I'm a woman who stutters, I get it from my dad. Didn't say my first words until I was 4. I've had a severe stutter ever since then. I had speech therapy in Elementary and middle school, and got it under control until it came back in the middle of high school. Now I'm in college and it's gotten really bad, like I feel like its debilitating my ability to talk. It's mostly because I obsess over my stutter when speaking. It's getting to the point where I feel like I'm an annoyance to everyone around me. I often wish I was mute. Also, I haven't met any other female stutterers. It would be awesome to meet one.
