I read your post and registered for Reddit just to tell you don’t give up. Please. I’m 42 years old now, and I’ve been in your exact situation. Had the same thoughts you are having. Do not give up hope. I have stuttered since before I can remember. Tried therapy (and even SpeechEasy) all through school and college. It would work for a few weeks or months, but my stutter always adapted. Never really had friends or girlfriends. Got tired of rejection and quit trying. Battled depression, had near-zero self-esteem, and thought about ending it. Things will get better. I am now married with beautiful children. I am living proof that your life will get better. You have GREAT worth; don’t give up now. Your family loves you, and there are people in the world who will love and value you. You might not have met them yet, but they are out there. They are. Not sure if you’re religious, I will pray for you every day.
