I’m in the military and I got a mild stutter. It affects me every day, every time I speak really, but the best advice I got is do good in all your other areas, the military or any job really isn’t concerned with your “fluency” but with your effectiveness. There are fluent people who have trouble using their voice to get tasks done and there is stutterers that can command a room because they have conviction and confidence. Work with what you got. You’ve got a stutter, you’re not mute.
