I’ve only had my stutter for less than a year. It started the week I was returning to work after time in the hospital for a suicidal episode I had. I still don’t know much about stutters but I’m certain that anxiety and trauma play a huge part in it. Now, anytime I’m stressed, my stutter will be the first thing to show, it’s kinda nice though because it gives me a heads up that I’m close to a panic attack and I need to calm down.
