Is anyone in a job where you're required to speak for every working second of the day with strict scripts and limitations? I currently work in a call centre that is constantly busy. When quiet, there is barely a 10 second gap between calls. We have to stick to a strict script and very strict call handling times. I've been here for over a year but I'm starting to struggle more and more with my speech and its getting harder to follow procedures and complete my scripts. I'm looking to see if anyone else is or was in a similar position and how they/you cope. I'm thinking of leaving but don't have another job lined up. I don't like to admit this but I don't often cry or get teary eyed but the past few weeks have been really difficult and I've had to go offline to collect myself and my thoughts. It's been difficult recently and I don't want to leave but I also don't think it's suitable if I stay. If it wasn't for the god forsaken stutter, it would be an excellent job that I would like to stay in for at least another year or two
