I feel this so much. I'm in college, on the premed track and I stutter. I'm applying for medical school in a few months and I'm beyond scared about interviews. The process is already so competitive, I feel like having a stutter, which has become more severe in recent months, is something admissions can reject me for and just write it off as "not a good fit for our program". I'm not stupid by any means. All of my friends and family view me as someone who is insanely intelligent and driven and I love that view they have of me, but strangers or acquaintances oftentimes can't see past your fluency and it's so frustrating to be labeled by something you can't control and something you don't want to define you to other people
